For players of Phasmophobia, this guide contains all the little details and information about the equipment and items in Phasmophobia.
Items table
The team at the Phasmophobia it can help you determine the ghosts or allow you to achieve optional objectives. Players can purchase equipment using the money they receive from successful investigations, but players can only bring a limited quantity of each item when they go on an investigation.
When a player dies, they lose all the team they added to the mission, excluding 1 from each starting team. Players who stay alive do not have to collect their equipment at the end of a contract to keep their equipment; it will be returned to you automatically.

101. Spirit Box
Description
A computer that can be used to question the ghost for more information. Only some ghosts will respond through the spirit box, which can be used as a test to identify the ghost.
The spirit box can capture radio frequencies that allow communication with spirits.
How it is used
To use the Spirit Box, you must be in the same room as the ghost, or within 3 feet if not in the same room, for it to respond. The lights must be off. Shy ghosts will require you to be the only person in the room. However, they will sometimes respond when a group enters a room because they only detect one player.
The spirit box will continue to function if dropped on the ground while left on, and you are close at hand to ask questions and hear answers. Sometimes ghosts respond to spirit boxes placed on the ground without players directly trying to get a response with voice commands. Although ghosts can hear you when you are speaking no matter what, you must use proximity chat for the spirit box to hear you.
Although the Spirit Box requires a dark room, the light bars do not count towards that requirement.
Kind of questions
There are four types of questions you can ask. If the spirit box does not respond with a message or "Nothing detected", your microphone is not working or you have not asked one of the supported questions.
Dangerous questions
- what do you want?
- Why are you here?
- Do you want to hurt us?
- You're angry?
- Do you want us here?
- We are going?
- We should go?
- Do you want us to go?
- What should we do?
- We can help?
- Something is wrong?
- You are kind?
Dangerous responses
If the ghost responds with "kill, die, attack" or other violent phrases, it could start a hunt soon. It is advisable to stop using it during a hunt. It should be noted that ghosts sometimes respond with a letter in an attempt to say a word, such as "E" when it comes to saying "go out." This has led to some new players losing signs of a hunt to come.
Location questions
- Where are you?
- You are close?
- Can you show yourself?
- Give us a sign.
- Let us know that you are here.
- Show yourself.
- You can talk?
- Talk to us.
- Are you here?
- You are with us?
- Is there anyone with us?
- Anyone here?
- Is there anybody in the room?
- Anyone here?
- Is there a spirit here?
- Is there a ghost here?
- What is your location?
Location answer
If you are within 4 meters of the ghost, it will give you a random answer of how close it is. If you are more than 4 meters away, the ghost will give you a random answer of how far it is.
Questions about age
- How old are you?
- How young are you
- How old you?
- When you were born?
- You're a child?
- Are you Julior?
- You're young?
Age Answers
It will respond directly to the age and who they are, for example "Adult" or "Child".

102. Ghost writing book
Description
The Ghost Writing Book, also known as automatic writing, is the equipment used to obtain the Ghost Writing by placing it near a ghost.
Trivia
- Each Demons they tend to write to the book earlier on hunts compared to other entities, but they are still never guaranteed to do so. Demons, like any other entity, can decide never to write in the book.
- The different scriptures displayed in the book, once written, can sometimes give clues as to the type of ghost at play, but are also sometimes purposely misleading.
- Hidden symbols do not always denote a Demons for example, but can usually highlight the probability of one.
- There is no way to force the book to be legitimately written.
- There does not currently appear to be any mechanic that limits a ghost's abilities to write in the book.
- It can be written while it is being held.
- It can be written while in the light or in the dark.
- It can be written while in view of the player.
- It does not have to be on the right side.
- It can be written while in the player's inventory, it does not have to be held.
- Take photos with a camera of the book once written does not give extra money for photos.
- If placed within the vision of a video camera active, you can use the truck monitor to see if the writing has appeared.
103. Photo camera
Description
- The camera is equipment that is not used for gathering evidence. However, it may be required to complete additional objectives, daily challenges, or to purchase photography reward money upon completion of the investigation.
The Camera will flash its light twice the size of the regular flashlight, with a range 3 times that of the Glow Rod. You can take photos through walls, doors, garage doors, windows, and almost any surface if the lens can get through it.
Any photo taken from a reflective surface will show the flash of the lens in the photo, such as the TV, or the Ax that one of the ghost models isgrime.
Each photo will reward $ 5 or $ 10 each at the end of the contract, added as "Photo Evidence", which is then multiplied by the difficulty multiplier. If an image does not have a title in your journal, it will not reward the money. It appears that you will only be credited once for each of the categories below. (Requires further investigation)
Ghost
- Fingerprints / footprints
- Dirty water
- Ouija board
- Interaction (door movement, radio play, etc.)
- A corpse
- Voodoo doll
- Bone
Trivia
- Taking a photo of a ghost through the window doesn't seem to work. However, fingerprints and manuals do.
- Fingerprints don't actually need to be illuminated by UV light to register as a proper photo.
- In version 0.174, the still camera is tapped, where the actual photo is at a slightly different angle than what the person taking the photo sees. This can cause some objects not to be registered, even though they are clearly in the photo. Taking a photo from a little distance can help.
104. EMF reader
Description
The electromagnetic field reader is a handheld device used to detect fluctuations in electromagnetic fields left behind by paranormal activity. It will beep with increasing volume depending on the amount of nearby activity.
A CEM reader is a piece of equipment that can be purchased and used to read the current CEM on site. It consists of a small white box with 5 lights. 2 green, 1 yellow, 1 orange and 1 red. When the item is turned on, the first light turns on.
As the ghost manifests, it will emit a reading based on the ghost's interaction with objects, and a tone will sound (doors, Ouija Board, Dirty Water, etc.).
It is the only way to determine if the ghost produces an EMF level 5 test.
If there are multiple EMF emissions in one location, it will show the strongest.
The EMF reader can be dropped to the ground and it is recommended to bend down and drop the EMF reader on a flatter path, or straight down to prevent the EMF reader from tipping over. While not at hand, the EMF reader gets a detection buff.
Trivia
- EMF readers are in no way tied to the Site Activity Monitor. An EMC level 5 does not denote an activity level of at least 5, and vice versa, an activity level of 5 does not denote an EMF level 5. These mechanisms are independently functional.
- A CEM reading of 4 does not always denote or negate the existence of a CEM level 5 track. The CEM 5 can be very location sensitive, often requiring a specific location to be pinpointed within the Phantom Room during elevated activity. Typically this is a location where the ghost has been actively standing.
- The use of motion sensors and consultation of the Site Activity Monitor can be used to precisely locate the places where the ghost has been, and at what times it can give an active reading.
- EMC level 5 does not always mean danger. It just means high activity. Conversely, hazardous scenarios often do not trigger EMC readings, and when they do, they are not likely to be EMC 5.
- During a hunt, the ghost cannot see an active EMF reader that is being held, but if it starts to fire, it can be heard. Toggling the EMF has also been shown to make noise up close. What dice the saying, "If another player can hear it, it can be heard by the ghost."
- Like any tool, to silently deactivate the object, switch to an idle object or an empty hand.
- If placed within the vision of an active video camera, the level of the EMF reader can be safely read from inside the truck. Photographing an image of him on the truck's computer screen will not count as evidence.
105. Video camera
Description
This DSLR camera has been tuned to take videos of the paranormal. The camera has a live feed to the truck's computer monitor. Clicking the computer mouse cycles the camera, and clicking the keyboard changes the night vision.
The video camera is one of two ways to detect the type of evidence of the Phantom Orb, the other is the head-mounted camera that serves as a portable video camera. Both require night vision to be activated to view the sphere.
106. UV flashlight
Description
The UV Flashlight is a purchase starter item used to detect fingerprints and footprints. It can be carried and activated at the same time as a standard flashlight or strong flashlight, but weak fingerprints may not be visible under its light.
Tips
- An ultraviolet flashlight is not required to take a photo of the fingerprints, just for the players to see; errant photographs can discover them without having an ultraviolet flashlight at all.
- UV Lights can be turned on and thrown around the house to illuminate the space since the ghost cannot turn them off.
- Like the normal flashlight, it will blink during a hunt.
107. Flashlight
Description
The flashlight is a basic hunting tool designed to help you when the lights go out.
Flashlights are the main source for illuminating dark and / or poorly lit areas, or else one would have to wander in total darkness and lose sanity. Players have two types of flashlights at their disposal: the normal flashlight and the strong flashlight. The normal flashlight provides enough light for players to navigate buildings and identify their surroundings. The strong flashlight provides much stronger lighting coverage and makes both navigation and identification much easier. You cannot carry both. You can take 4 of these with you on a mission.
On the desk, you can activate the flashlight while holding another object. In VR, you can place an activated flashlight on your hip, and it will continue to work. You can get creative with this, place it on railings or tables, or even light up an area hands-free.
The flashlight can also be mounted as a shoulder flashlight by pressing the "T" while holding other items, as long as it's in your inventory. This allows players to use other equipment while still being able to see in front of them.
During a hunt, the flashlight will turn on and off for the duration of the hunt. Therefore, it is critical to have one to have the first warning of an active hunt.

201. Vela
Description
A candle is a great way to keep the room lit when the lights go out, as it is not dependent on electricity.
Candles can be lit using a fire source such as the lighter, which can be used to light up a room and prevent the player's sanity from falling. Players can buy candles, but they can also spawn on maps. Similar to the light stick, the candle can be placed on the ground and it will emit light continuously.
Burning candles and lights will help slow you down, but will not prevent you from losing your sanity.
How it is used
When holding a candle, players can light it by holding the lighter in their inventory and pressing the F key.
Players can light candles that are not in their hand by holding the lighter or a burning candle in one hand and pressing the F key while near the unlit candle.
Tips
- Being able to place the candle instead of throwing it is in the official Trello development board[trello.com].
- Dropping the candles, where they sit on the sides of tables, shelves or other elevated objects, will significantly improve the illumination of the candle as the candles produce poor visibility on the ground.
- On larger maps like Brownstone High School or Asylum, candles can be useful as navigational markers for important areas like the fuse box, ghost room, or exit door (s).
- Sails are not affected by hunting.
- The candles available for purchase are significantly brighter than those found on the site.
202. Crucifix
Description
A crucifix is used to prevent ghosts from entering their physical form to attack you. It is advisable to place them near the Ghost.
The Crucifix is an affordable item used to prevent the Ghost from entering a Hunt.
How does it work
In order for the Crucifix to successfully prevent a hunt, it must be in the vicinity of the ghost when the hunt begins. The Crucifix has a range of 3 meters for the Julius of Ghosts and 5 meters for the Banshee. When the ghost starts the hunt, check if it is within reach of a crucifix. If it is, the hunt does not begin, turning the ghost into a passive state.
If the ghost is out of range of the crucifix (even if the crucifix is in the ghost room), you can start the hunt as usual. There will be no sound or animation when the crucifix blocks a hunt. It will just disappear once both charges have been used.
The crucifix must be within range of the ghost hunting spawn location in order to work. Because of this, the crucifix is not always reliable, because ghosts can spawn at a short and random distance from their "center point" (ghost room.) For example, if a ghost spawns for a hunt just out of range of a crucifix , the hunt will proceed normally.
Trivia
- It has been reported that the Crucifix can stop an ongoing hunt if the ghost is hit with the Crucifix while in the air. This may deplete one of the crucifix charges and does not count towards the optional objective of "preventing a hunt with a crucifix." However, it may be that players simply mistake a rally event for a Hunt, and as such it should not be used as a countermeasure as running and hiding would be a more effective method of surviving a Hunt.
203. Light bar
Description
A light bar can be used to help navigate in larger places or used as an ultraviolet light zone.
The Light Bar, when activated, emits a UV light when launched. The height of the light is half a door, allowing it to detect fingerprints. Its length is equivalent to the height. It can pass through doors, and the light will pass through some objects, such as sofas.
Fingerprints can be detected when placed near salt, fingerprints when near a door, and can mark places of interest.
At random times and in random places, the light stick when thrown to the ground will stop emitting light at all, it is unknown what causes it, or how to fix it. It will show the light until it is flat on the ground, so propping it up against a wall is a good solution.
204. Head-mounted camera
Description
A head-mounted camera can be used to help teams track down and see the ghost orbs.
The head-mounted camera can be used to help teams track down and see the ghost orbs.
When used, head-mounted cameras (often called "GoPros" by gamers) do not occupy a handheld slot and act like a normal video camera. They move with the player and look in the direction the player is currently facing. Although they are useless when playing alone, they can be useful with a team if one person is left behind in the truck.
As with normal video cameras, HMCs can switch between visual and night vision modes and can be used to detect phantom orbs when in night vision mode. They are also useful for monitoring players who have to be alone to get responses from the ghosts and are very useful in helping to guide players around larger maps, especially in the dark, as the player in the truck can follow viewing with night vision mode even if all the lights in the venue are off, as well as having access to the Site Map.
Players can remove them by going back to the truck and hitting F (or whatever you need to Interact tied to) on the cork hangers when they have an empty hand.
205. Infrared light sensor
Description
An infrared motion sensor that detects both human and paranormal movement, when activated will illuminate the surrounding area with bright light.
An infrared light sensor that detects both human and paranormal movement. When activated, it will illuminate the surrounding area with bright light.
Although cheaper than the normal motion sensor, the infrared light sensor does not provide feedback to the truck, nor does it count towards the optional "Detect ghosts with a motion sensor" objective.
In smaller places, four of them can be placed on each of the walls of the Ghost Room to keep the room fairly well lit when the Ghost is in the room, allowing the room to have illumination when the lights are off. They can also be used as "waypoints" on larger maps, placing them at turns or intersections to illuminate when a player approaches, and for navigation in the dark in case the switch trips.
206. Lighter
Description
A simple lighter used to light candles and scent sticks.
The lighter is an item used to light sticks and candles. It emits a small amount of light when activated and held by the player.
How does it work
To use the Lighter, you must have the Lighter in your inventory. Using the interaction button while holding a smudge stick or candle will light the object. You can also hold the lighter and activate it with the right mouse button, and then use it to illuminate falling objects, or even objects that are in the hand of another player, interacting with them.
207. Motion sensor
Description
A motion sensor is a sensor that can detect the most subtle changes in the surrounding atmosphere. This is linked live with your truck map.
The motion sensor is a purchase support item. It's the most expensive piece of equipment in the game, costing $ 100, but it can be convenient when tracking the Ghost's movement, providing a visual and audio signal when the Ghost moves through it. The motion sensor is also displayed on the site map, allowing the Phantom's movement to be detected from the safety of the truck.
They will be activated by both the Ghost and the players, so it's important to check the map if a team member recently passed one. The green light will also turn on instead of the red when a motion sensor is activated.
Tips
- The motion sensor must be below eye level to function. Placing it around waist height is the safest way to do this.
- Dead players do not activate motion sensors when passing through them.
- Placing a motion sensor at each hallway exit near where the ghost has been detected can speed up tracking of its movement around the house.
208. Parabolic microphone
Description
A parabolic microphone can detect sound through walls and at a great distance. This is a portable version of the sound sensor.
A Parabolic Microphone can detect sound through walls and at a great distance. It serves as a portable version of the sound sensor.
The Parabolic Microphone does not depend on viewing angles. The values on the screen are updated every 1-2 seconds.
So it doesn't matter which direction you're holding, except if you're standing on the edge of a sound trigger.
Although infamously fussy, it is convenient to have in larger places like High School and Nursing Home, although it is largely useless in smaller ones. When turned on, the display shows a set of numbers (00.0), which measures the sum of the sounds detected in a large area around your position.
If the ghost interacts with something, such as moving a door, throwing an object, or causing footsteps, the microphone will detect the sound for a short period of time, typically giving a reading between 10.0 and 15.0 on the screen. The microphone has a long range and can detect sound through walls, which makes it useful for narrowing down the location of the ghost on larger maps.
Like the sound sensor, the parabolic microphone will also detect player noise and interactions, so make sure that you are in front of other players during a sweep and that you are not accidentally detecting your teammates.

209. Salt shaker
Description
Salt is toxic to the Julius of Ghost types and will reveal their footsteps under UV light.
Salt is a purchase item used to detect the Ghost's tracks. It is used to place piles of salt on the ground that the ghost can walk on, disturbing it and creating tracks that can be seen with the UV flashlight, which can then be photographed with a camera for extra money. Each salt shaker can create three heaps of salt, after which it can be thrown away.
To put the salt in the VR, aim your controlador VR towards the ground and press the shutter button.
The Specter has a special interaction with the treading of the salt.
How does it work
All ghosts can interact with salt, however Wraith will not leave footprints after stepping on it.
A ghost can only step on the salt every 10 seconds, and will not step on the salt during the Hunt.
Tips
- Salt the drowning points in the house that the ghost will have to pass through.
- Dropping a light stick on or near the pile of salt will illuminate the pile of salt without having to use a UV flashlight.
210. Sanity Pills
Description
Sanity pills will increase your sanity level; therefore they are vital for larger venues as they will allow you to be more secure on a longer term contract.
Sanity pills replenish your sanity level. Each bottle replenishes 40% sanity, up to a maximum of 100%.
They are vital to larger venues like Brownstone High School and the Asylum, as well as being much more important in more serious hardship overall due to increased sanitation drainage, allowing you and your team to be more secure on a longer term contract. and avoid hunting.
211. Incense sticks
Description
Burning the smudge sticks near a ghost will prevent it from attacking for a period of time.
Stain sticks are an affordable item that when burned, deters the ghost from hunting or attacking for a period of time.
The Yurei and the Spirit have special interactions with the diffusion sticks.
How does it work
To use the Incense Sticks, you must interact with them using a Lighter or a lit Candle. (Alternatively, if you have a lighter in your inventory, you can switch to the Incense Sticks and press the "F" key to automatically light them).
Once lit, the Incense Sticks will start to smoke for about 15 seconds, and if the Ghost is within 6 meters, the Ghost Activity will increase slightly, and the Ghost will not be able to enter a hunt for 90 seconds (180 for Spirit ). This will not stop an active hunt. The stain stick will work both in hand and on the ground.
If there is an active hunt, then the ghost will stop chasing a player and begin to roam for 6 seconds, before returning to the hunt.
If the ghost is a Yurei, it will stop chasing and wander for 90 seconds.
You will know if the Incense Sticks have worked due to the dissipating smoke, at this point you can throw the item as it has been used up. If the smoke is still in progress, it has not yet taken effect.
Trivia
- Incense Sticks are objects used in Native American rites to drive away evil spirits and spiritually cleanse a place. Incense Sticks are generally made from sage or incense sticks.
212. Sound sensor
Description
Hear even the quietest sounds and vibrations in the air. It is displayed as data on the van.
The Sound Sensor is a sensor that can hear the quietest sounds and vibrations in the air. It is displayed as data on the truck.
The sound sensor will detect any noise in a box-like area in front of the sensor itself. The detection area is highlighted as a yellow box on the map of the truck. Any noise, both player-made and ghost-made, will appear as a bar on the sound monitor to the right of the map on the truck, showing how loud the sound was and identifying where the sound was coming from.
Like the Parabolic Microphone, the Sound Sensor will detect sounds through walls, so placing it on a wall that faces a large area or multiple rooms is a good way to cover a lot of ground when looking for the location of the speaker. ghost from the start. On smaller maps, two Sound Sensors can be placed on either side of a wall in the center of a location, allowing them to monitor an entire floor when properly positioned.
213. Strong flashlight
Description
An improved version of the flashlight. Designed to help you in large areas when the lights go out.
It's pretty self-explanatory - it creates a much brighter light than the flashlight, making navigation in the dark much easier.
For more information, please check 107. Flashlight.
214. Thermometer
Description
Read the room temperature, which can help you locate ghosts.
The thermometer is an affordable item that is used to read the current room temperature or the temperature of specific places within the room.
The thermometer is used to detect ghost evidence-type freezing temperatures, as well as being very helpful in finding the ghost room in general.
How does it work
The thermometer will update its temperature every 0,8 seconds. By default, it reads in Celsius.
The temperature is read by emitting a beam 6 meters from where the user is currently looking, giving the room temperature with a 2 degree error bar (this error bar does not change for Fahrenheit).
Generally, reading temperatures at or below 10 ° C / 50 ° F is a strong indication that you are reading the Ghost Room. Due to its frequent updating, it is quite reliable to find the Ghost Room using it.
If the temperature drops below 3 ° C / 37.4 ° F, the Ghost can certainly cause freezing temperatures.
215. Tripod
Description
It can be used to mount video cameras.
The tripod can be used to mount video cameras. The tripods will unfold facing in the same direction as the player who deploys them.
Tripods are bulky objects, so they occupy the slot in your hand while being carried. They cannot be stored in inventory, and when switching to another object or hand while carrying a tripod, the tripod will automatically drop.
If you take a video camera and place it (or press F) on top of the tripod, the camera will mount on the tripod. By carrying the tripod afterwards, you will also take the camera with you, so there is no need to carry an empty tripod and an unassembled video camera. You can lift the video camera off the tripod as normal if you want to use the video camera alone again.
When placed, the tripod will be placed directly below where you are standing and will be oriented in the direction you were when you dropped it. Tripods are positioned at the perfect height for controlThey place objects (such as books and EMF readers) on the floor and are excellent for rooms with few places for normal video cameras. VR players can also place tripod-mounted video cameras on window sills, allowing a camera to remotely view a room without the need for the player to enter the room to position the camera.
301. Objectives board
Description
The objective board is located in the player spawn of the starting van, in front of the camera system and adjacent to the information screens.
Except for the tutorial mission, it will always show 4 objectives and a paragraph with information about the ghost, such as its name and if the ghost responds to everyone or to people who are alone.
Types of objectives
- Main goal
The first objective will be the same in each game:
Find out what kind of Ghost we are dealing with.- This objective refers to the identification of the type of Ghost that inhabits the building.
The reward for this objective is based on the size of the map.
Note: When the game starts, you can read a short report on the ghost that can give you a hint about the behavior of the ghosts, which can help you with the identification. - Optional lenses
The other 3 objectives are randomly generated but appear to be influenced by the equipment added before the game begins: The game creates objectives based on the equipment that the players brought into the game. If you can't create any or you've used all of the available ones, you'll create the rest at random.
The reward for this objective is $ 10 for a person who managed to escape and $ 5 for a person killed by the ghost.
Goals
- Find evidence of paranormal activity with an EMF reader
- Condition for the realization:
- EMF reader level 2 and higher
Recommended strategy:
- Search the ghost's room with an EMF reader or if you know where the ghost is, leave the EMF reader on in the room.
Note:
- A player does not have to be present for the objectives to be met.
- Detect a room below 10 ° Celsius / 50 ° Fahrenheit with a thermometer
Condition for completion:- The thermometer shows a temperature below 10 ° Celsius / 50 ° Fahrenheit (ignores the 2 ° error bar)
Recommended strategy:
- Since each ghost makes the ghost room cold below 10 °, scan each room with a thermometer and pay attention to temperatures around 12 ° as it can lead to the cold room.
- Capture a photo of dirty water in a sink
Condition for the realization:- Take a picture of the dirty water with a camera. Refer to dirty water
Recommended strategy:
- Do not turn on the sinks yourself. If a ghost interacts with it, it will give you a beep as to where the dirty water may be.
- Capture a photo of the ghost
Condition for completion:- Take a photo of a ghost demonstrating or hunting other players
Recommended strategy:
- Try to anger the ghost and make it manifest or enter a hunting phase, but make sure you maintain an escape route or hiding place. It is easier to make the ghost hunt with less sanity.
Note:
- Some ghosts flicker in and out of sight and it is difficult to take a photo of them.
Taking a photo of the ghost on the video camera does not count.
- Detect the presence of a ghost with a motion sensor
Condition for completion:- The ghost must activate a motion sensor placed
Recommended strategy:
- Place motion sensors in doors or hallways that the ghost could wander through and on the walls of the ghost room.
- Stop the ghost from hunting with a crucifix
Condition for completion:- A crucifix should be placed in an area where the ghost can manifest. If the cross is within range of the ghost attempting to enter a hunting phase, it will be prevented and the ghost will not start hunting.
Recommended strategy:
- Since attempting to enter a hunt is a dangerous move, it is recommended to keep a player in the truck to inform them of the completion of the objective for a quick escape if it has been completed.
Note:
- For Banshee, the area of the crucifix is almost double (5 meters).
- Have a member of your team witness a Ghost event
Condition for completion:- A player must be present in a room where a Ghost event is taking place
Recommended strategy:
- The ghost event is more likely to occur inside the ghost room.
- Clean the area near the ghost using incense sticks
Condition for completion:- Light an incense stick inside the ghost room with a lighter or candle
Recommended strategy:
- Cleaning the area is one of the last things you should do, as stains prevent the ghost from manifesting or hunting.
302. Site map
Description
The site map is inside the departure van. It shows the layout of the map, players, exit doors, cameras, stairs, and the location of the fuse box. If a motion sensor is used, it appears as a stripe where your line of sight is. Sound sensors will cover a large part of the map with a yellow detection radius. A large square-shaped white switch can be found on the left side of the map, which can be used to switch to different levels of the map if a location has multiple floors.
303. Sanity Monitor
Description
The Sanity Monitor is the truck's screen labeled "Sanity Team" where you can see the sanity of all players as a percentage reading. The sanity monitor is not perfectly accurate as it will oscillate by +/- 3% for sanity to be perceived as more organic.
Dead players and those who have not yet reached the lobby appear on the sanity monitor with a symbol? instead of a number.
Tips
- The sanity monitor can be useful to identify ghosts that interact with the player's sanity, such as the Demon; For example, if players get frequent responses from the ouija board, but sanity levels are still pretty solid, it's easy to identify the Demon even without testing.
304. Site activity monitor
Description
The Site Activity Monitor is the fourth monitor on the wall of the truck, displaying activity ranging from 0-10 indicating that the ghost is not disturbing anything. In contrast, 0 indicates a possible hunt, the door to the ghost's room closing, the lights going out in the room, and the ghost manifesting in the room, and the door out of the house closing, but not closing.
Trivia
- The Site Activity Monitor is not related in any way to the CEM Reader and the levels it produces, but can denote the probability of encountering a level 5 CEM, if applicable.
- Different activity levels appear to be determined by many factors, so querying this screen is only useful for simply determining the overall aggression of the ghost.
- Higher levels generally denote a lower probability of more violent integrations. Level 10 does not always mean that a hunt is in progress, but each time a hunt is carried out, the level is always 10 until the hunt is over.
- The average health of the players currently in the building also appears to have a slight impact on the overall activity of the ghost. Outside players do not affect this.
401. Ouija Board
Description
You can ask the ghost questions to get more information at the cost of your sanity.
The ouija board is an item that can only be found during an investigation and can be used to communicate with the ghost. On each map, there is a 33% chance of spawning, and it can be found in places like basements, attics, beds, closets. Using it allows players to ask the questions at the cost of sanity.
How does it work
To use the Ouija board, activate it by clicking the left mouse button and you will see it start to glow. If the talk button is on, press the V key to ask through local chat.
When triggered and asked for a phrase it recognizes, there is a 67% chance that the Ouija board will respond and a 33% chance of angering the ghost. The ghost will respond by moving the tablet over the table and spelling out its answer. Responsiveness is not affected by whether the ghost is shy or not.
